So a few days ago I’m sitting in my first class for the semester and the lecturer is showing us some Youtube videos about  some interesting facts and about entrepreneurship and in watching those videos I suddenly got the urge to start a blog. Didn’t decide what it would be about or why but I knew that I would go home that night, create a blog and call it “Making it Happen”. Turns out when I got home I just got to my usual tweeting and consumed in other internet randomness and I didn’t start my blog.

Call it fate, a coincidence or whatever but the very next day I go to another entrepreneurship class -this one more focused on communication- and one of the individual assignments on the course outline is for us to create a blog and make weekly posts for the duration of the semester for 20% of our final grade. I’m like “Awesomeness!!!! I get to write stuff on the internet and get a grade for it”…lol … So that night I came home and started working on my blog. So you can just imagine my disappointment when I was ready to create my blog and I type the name I want for my blog “Making it Happen” and that ratchet red message pops up “THAT NAME ALREADY EXISTS” -____________________- hmt (hiss my teeth). Talk about an instant vibe breaker. So I spent the rest of the night trying to come up with the next best name for my blog. I even got to the point of googling “how to make a cool blog name?”…Yes, I’m serious. I did get some cool and helpful tips from ifb (Independent Fashion Bloggers) http://heartifb.com/2012/07/26/the-blogger-name-generator-9-easy-ways-to-name-your-blog/. Spent hours and went through almost 20 names – “CameraAngles, PumpsAndPatron, OnYourMark, Snickers, MacNCheese, NamelessBlog” but none of them seemed just right or were already taken. Eventually I got kind of frustrated and just decided to call it “EscapeDubai”…Yes I know. Very corny. LOL ….I’ll change it in due time. X_X . So ye…here I am…a few hours later…making my first blog post \o/ 😀
